Patrick Roberts’ interest in music was evident at the age of five, when he was playing songs from memory. An early introduction to the piano was soon put aside when the mystique of the violin caught his attention. The violin quickly became a way of life and his passion. By age eleven he was performing at concerts and insisting on demonstrating his talent in front of any large audience of family & friends. His Mother and Father encouraged Patrick to continue this love of music and performing by introducing him to the National Boys Choir. Patrick sang with the Choir for 4 years before leaving to pursue a focused musical journey with the violin. By eighteen he was a regular radio and television performer with the Violin. At the same time, his musical education continued at Melbourne’s acclaimed Conservatorium of Music, studying with some of the greats of the violin. Patrick then went on to teach and lecture “Violin Technique and Performance”. at the Conservatorium.
Patrick’s classical training and passion for the instrument intensified, as did his love of performing as concert, radio and television producers took advantage of his flamboyant style and obvious joy during each performance. Patrick is now known as ”˜The Global Violin Sensation’ and is best known for his contemporary renditions of popular classical and musical compositions.
