Guests arrived early and eager to jump into the tour of our amazing purpose built studios. Lecturers Lance Krive and Paul Edwards introduced the industry standard recording and mixing equipment to the guests and were thrilled by the responsiveness of the crowd.
After an informative address by ARI’s CEO Paul Ledingham and an extended Q & A segment which left the attendees buzzing from all the industry insight Paul bestowed on them, guests were introduced to the talented Producer Panel and set about asking their questions to Alex Braithwaite, Jimi Maroudas, and Beau McKee.
The Panel offered some amazing industry knowledge to the guests which left them all eager to learn more. There is certainly no shortage of passionate and talented lovers of music production in Melbourne! Covering the current state of the music industry and what it takes to become a sought after producer in an ever growing industry, they guided attendees through establishing their personal brand and how to garner a positive reputation through networking and a passionate and strong work ethic. Stressing that the most important thing for a budding producer to remember is that you need to love what you’re doing and really respect the artist and their songs and to always work on doing what’s best for the track.
The excitement of The Panel was present long after its conclusion and guests were keen to talk to staff more about the institute and the Sound Production Course.
