Stefan Du Randt
Stefan Du Randt has quickly earned a reputation as one of Studios 301’s most prolific producers, mixing and recording engineers. Stefan moved to Australia in 2015, relocating from South Africa where he owned and operated his own studio in Johannesburg. He was also the principal engineer for Grammy Award-winning producer Darryl Torr (Soweto Gospel Choir), where he worked on albums by MTV and SAMA award-winning artists Die Antwoord, Spoek Mathambo, Zebra & Giraffe, Gangs of Ballet and Shortstraw.
Stefan’s engineering credits are highlighted by his work on Mac Millers’ posthumous album “Circles”, alongside an impressive list of notable Australian and International artists such as Elton John, Zedd, Delta Goodrem, Peking Duk, Diesel and many more.
Stefan has recently developed a niche for mentoring up and coming engineers alongside building and facilitating the 301 Academy. He hopes to continue sharing his knowledge and expertise with Abbey Road Institute students, particularly in the mixing and recording process.
