The first day of the Spotjobs Melbourne Careers Expo was a huge success for Abbey Road Institute. Abbey Road Institute Head Trainer and internationally renowned sound engineer, Lance Krivé, together with staff member and DJ Carly Gray, hosted an impressive display at this major event, the first stand to meet your eyes after entering the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building.
Thousands of high school students attended the event, getting the opportunity to try their mixing skills on the renowned Midas Heritage 3000 – an industry standard mixing console for international stadium level touring acts – at the Abbey Road Institute stand, providing a huge drawcard for music-minded attendees.
We greatly enjoyed interacting with the the next generation of DJs, audio engineers and producers and giving them a hands on taste of professional music industry technology. The feedback from students and teachers alike was universal excitement about the unique possibilities and exclusive opportunities offered by Abbey Road Institute.
We are excited about the next two days of this premier annual event, and invite anybody considering a change of career or tertiary study – including adults and mature-age students – to drop by the Expo this weekend and pay us a visit – we look forward to seeing you there!
