Abbey road Institute November study for a day

Abbey Road Institute’s November Study for a Day last Saturday was an unmitigated success! With a full house of eager and talented creatives, we hit the ground running with a look into the history of sound recordings and the first purpose built studio, built of course by our beloved world-famous Abbey Road Studios, London.

Our Study for a Day students then grabbed their headphones and, under the direction of our very own Lance Krivè, immersed themselves in the world that is digital audio production with an introductory lesson to the renowned Digital Audio Workstation platform Pro Tools.

This is Lance Krive talking about the history of Abbey Road Studios!

After a quick break and caffeine hit, we split the attendees into two groups – one finding themselves in the performance space talking microphones and recording set ups with Abbey Road Technical Manager, Bradley Toan, and the other in deep discussion with current Abbey Road students discussing what life is like inside Abbey Road Institute.

After the groups exchanged mentors, we came together once again as a collective and concluded the day on a high note with some fantastic feedback on the day! We are now super excited to be welcoming eight new students to the Abbey Road family!
