DMP204 – Audio Engineering / Acoustics (DAW)


The course aims to produce graduates who are musical, technologically proficient and able to operate professionally in a diversity of audio production roles and environments.

The content is delivered in a unique, practical learning environment where students will complete hands-on activities under direct supervision from our industry professional staff.

Abbey Road Institute’s students have access to highly specialized workstations and studios before, during and after class. Supervisors are available on site to provide learning support outside regular classroom hours.

DMP204 – Audio Engineering / Acoustics (DAW)

This module expands on the students’ knowledge of DAW editing platforms (Pro Tools and Logic) by exploring advanced functionality in practical applications. Students will be introduced to Ableton and will complete a variety of compositions within the program. Synchronisation techniques will be discussed and utilised as students transfer audio material from Ableton to Pro Tools for editing and mixdown.
