DMP102 – Audio Engineering / Acoustics (Principles)

Modules

The course aims to produce graduates who are musical, technologically proficient and able to operate professionally in a diversity of audio production roles and environments.

The content is delivered in a unique, practical learning environment where students will complete hands-on activities under direct supervision from our industry professional staff.

Abbey Road Institute’s students have access to highly specialized workstations and studios before, during and after class. Supervisors are available on site to provide learning support outside regular classroom hours.

DMP102 – Audio Engineering / Acoustics (Principles)

This module introduces students to the elements of sound theory, psychoacoustics and electronics. Students will learn about metering in analog and digital environments and develop critical listening skills by completing a series of ear training exercises throughout the term in a supervised learning environment. A theoretical exam is also to be completed and has been designed to test students understanding of the fundamental principles contained in this unit.
