On Saturday, October 15th Abbey Road Institute opened its doors for the final Open Day of 2016. Potential students and guests were able to experience the atmosphere of the elite level of education offered at Abbey Road Institute with tours and demonstrations of the world-class recording desks and equipment that is exclusively available to its students.
Paul Ledingham, CEO of Abbey Road Institute Australia, began the presentations with an informative insight into the depth of Abbey Road’s history of recording excellence. He also had a chance to answer prospective student’s questions about the content and delivery of the Advanced Diploma. Invitees were also treated to a special Producer Panel where special guest speakers Julian Davis, Beau McKee and ARIA Lifetime Contribution to Australian Music recipient and Producer and Engineer of the Year awardee, Charles Fisher discussed what life is really like as a music producer working in Australia, as well as the current growth of the global music industry.
After reshreshments, prospective students were able to gain a better understanding of what the year ahead would be like as an Abbey Road student with the Student Panel. Steven Lees, Alex Braithewaite, Bianca Contrabona & Zhaun Woodard described their experiences from the last year and where the opportunities that were offered to them while studying at the Institute has taken them.
